LITTLE FOLKS MONTESSORI SCHOOL BRAMPTON

We have Pre-School rooms with mixed age grouping from 2.5-5 years that supports the pure Montessori Philosophy. The younger children learn better from older children. We teach children respect for their environment and each other. We at Little Folks Montessori feel that child learns from the teacher, their environment and from home. That is the reason we work very closely with families so there is consistency in child’s development throughout the day.

We believe in Inclusion that all children Belong:

At Little Folks Montessori inclusion means we accept and support all children with their uniqueness, ability, diversity and ethnicity.

Our inclusive active learning environment supports all children with their individual needs and accept them for who they are.We also have access to local community’s resource consultants who can assess your child with the families’ consent in case the family or we realize that the child needs extra support.
Keeping Well-Being of all children under consideration we have a policy not to enroll more than 2 special needs children in a group at any given time. This gives staff more time to devote to every child in the room. Our class sizes are small and comfortable. For Toddler age group there is an orientation time of 3 days where a family member can accompany the child and stay in the class with the child for 3 consecutive days for one hour. If family can manage the first 2 days for childcare ages 18 months to 4 years should only be 2-3 hours and later start full day. This is just an option if the family wants to take otherwise the staff is trained to handle children full time from the first day.

We believe starting a childcare environment for a child is a huge transition and a big landmark and should be dealt with care and sensitivity.

We have experienced staff who have been with us for many years and are very affectionate and loving and understand the needs of children and families. They are qualified with either Montessori Diploma or they are Registered Early childhood educators.
